Munster Fans Rejoice As Their Side Avoids Sixth Consecutive Defeat

Munster secured an unlikely victory in Belfast.

In a hugely attritional game, Munster avoided the possibility of a sixth consecutive defeat against Ulster in Ravenhill this evening.

With a series of huge European games to come, the victory has the potential to turn Munster’s season around. Indeed despite receiving much criticism over recent weeks, Ian Keatley was at the heart of the Reds victory, landing two penalties and a drop goal.

Munster’s defended brilliantly throughout, keeping Ulster at bay for the entire second half. While Keatley will rightly receive the plaudits, the value of Tommy O’Donnell was underlined throughout the game, with the openside slowing Ulster ball with regularity.

Munster fans were quick to rejoice in their teams victory, with many reacting on twitter.
