The Injuries Just Keep Mounting For Eddie Jones As Jonny May Set To Miss Argentina Clash

When Eddie Jones announced his 34-man squad last week, there were a number of high-profile absentees due to injury in both the forwards and backs.

Focussing on the backs, Jack Nowell, Ben Te’o and Manu Tuilagi were not included due to injuries.

Then the news came early this week that Elliot Daly withdrew from the squad due to the knee injury he picked up at the weekend in Wasps’ victory over Northampton Saints at Franklin’s Gardens.

Unfortunately for Jones and the rest of the England coaching staff, they have received more bad news as Jonny May has been ruled out of the Argentina game due to a hamstring strain he picked up in training.

The England squad are currently on a warm-weather training camp in Portugal and this is where May has picked up the injury.

This presents a big opportunity for Denny Solomona who definitely looks set to see some action against Argentina due to the latest injury to hit Jones’ squad.
