We’re almost at the beginning of the new domestic northern hemisphere rugby season and with that, most clubs at this stage have brought out their new apparel ahead of kick-off in just a few weeks time.
Although there is sometimes cynicism in some quarters over the cost and frequency of such new releases, it provides supporters with some talking points in the barren month of rugby action that is August.
The latest clubs to release their new offerings are PRO14 sides – the Glasgow Warriors, the Ospreys and Edinburgh.
First up, Glasgow.
The Warriors have released a new home and alternate kit. Both jerseys feature a tartan pattern down the sides which you can see below.
The versions the players will wear on match days will display a yet to be announced sponsor but the retail version will be just like you see above in what is a refreshing move from the Warriors. The shirts go on sale on August 19.
The Ospreys have released a new alternate jersey and white is the predominant colour. Boldly enough, the shirt features a horizontal black stripe pattern from the chest down and to be fair the sponsor doesn’t seem to be overbearing. Not a bad effort!
The home jersey is black with a grey and red horizontal pattern across the front. The alternate shirt, on the other hand, is completely red with a faded grey stripe pattern across the front.
All in all, not a bad effort from each of these three clubs. Which club do you think has the nicest kit? Let us know in the comments below!
