World Rugby Have Announced Their Player Of The Year Nominations

Some proper stars here and it’s certainly going to be a competitive field as World Ruby announce the ‘Player of the Year’ nominations.

So much talent. Unsurprisingly there’s a bit of a weighting towards southern hemisphere players. With only two players from the north, can we really say we’re shocked?

And shock horror, there’s a few All Blacks and Wallabies in the mix too. Now that is a surprise isn’t it. All blatant sarcasm aside, this award is going to one of the men who’ll play in the Rugby World Cup final this weekend, surely!

Once again Julian Savea is nominated after missing out last year to fellow All Black, Brodie Retallick. If He or Dan Carter pick it up they’ll be the fourth All Black in a row to scoop the prize.

Who takes the award for you?
