Watch: All The IRPA Try Of The Year Nominees

It’s awards time. We’re in the business end of things in the World of Rugby and nominations are coming thick and fast. This time, it’s the IRPA ‘Try of the Year’ nominees.

Two nominations for Julian Savea. That gives the All Black a very strong chance of scooping the award. Obviously, his second nomination is much more a solo effort. But that Dan Carter offload though. Savea is also shortlisted for World Rugby’s ‘Breakthrough Player of the Year’ award too. Add on an upcoming Rugby World Cup final and Super Rugby final appearance (earlier in the year). We’d call that a good year by any measure.

Justin Tipuric should also feel in with a shout. His try against Ireland had it all. Great individual and team effort topped with a cool finish. But we’re glad we aren’t picking this. Too many great nominees to choose from.
