France Cut Several Players From Squad After Night Out Fiasco In Edinburgh

France have just cut several players from their squad after they reportedly went on a night out in Edinburgh after their defeat to Scotland.

On Monday afternoon, reports broke claiming that members of France’s Six Nations squad were involved in some unsavoury scenes during a night out in Edinburgh.

Although it was initially suggested that the players took part in some form of a brawl and were hauled off their plane as they attempted to return to France, it was later confirmed that the players were simply questioned after a sexual assault claim was reported to the police.

Although police inquiries established that no crimes were committed, it seems that the top brass in the French camp have been left absolutely disgusted by some of their squad’s conduct in Edinburgh and have taken the decision to cut several players ahead of their clash with Italy on the 23rd of February.

According to Murray Kinsella of The42, an official statement from the FFR has slammed the players involved in the night out stating that their ‘inappropriate behaviour’ showed that they ‘did not respect their status as international players.
