The British and Irish Lions squad was announced on Wednesday and among the high profile omissions from the squad was Munster and Ireland star Simon Zebo.
Selecting the extended 41-man panel was certainly a difficult job for Warren Gatland and his coaching staff and in the end, there was always going to be disappointment for some.
With the overlooking of England’s Joe Launchbury’s taking up most of the headlines, the absence of Zebo is likely as contentious among the Ireland fan base.
With a Champions Cup semi-final clash with Saracens on Saturday, Zebo will certainly be able to keep his mind occupied and can, at the very least, show Gatland and his team just what they are missing.
Ahead of the clash, Munster rugby has released a timely reminder of just how impressive the Corkman has been this season in the Champions Cup.
Take a look.

With nearly 350 metres made and 56 carries, the 27-year-old has added four tries to his formidable haul in the red jersey of Munster. Fans will be looking to him to deliver another menacing performance on the wings against the defending European champions when the two side meet in the Aviva Stadium in two days time.
Whether a call up to the Lions squad comes later in the summer remains to be seen but you might well assume that Zebo is putting that to the back of his mind and focusing on the job at hand – a fifth European Cup final.
