Saracens Reveal Pinstripe Suit-Inspired Jersey That Will Take Fans By Surprise

Aviva Premiership and European rugby giants Saracens have unveiled a one-off, special edition jersey that will likely take some fans by surprise.

Famous for their red and black threads, the London-based club have become the dominant force in European rugby over the last number of seasons, replacing the mighty Toulon at the top of the pile.

They have secured two Champions Cups and an Aviva Premiership title over the past two seasons and the rugby landscape has come to fear the mighty red and black.

Now, in a stark departure from the norm, Saracens have unveiled a one-off, special edition jersey that couldn’t be further from their famous colours.

It is blue.

Unveiled on the official Saracen website, the new colours and design were apparently chosen from a shortlist of three by staff from club sponsor Allianz.

Inspired by a pinstripe suit, the blue threads retain the two stars above the crest, badges of honour that denote their European successes. It also features the key mantras of the club, namely ‘The extra 5%’ and TSPDS (the stuff that people don’t see).

Saracens will take to the field in the special edition kits against Harlequins on March 24 next, for their Aviva Premiership clash.

This one is bound to receive mixed views.
