The Corkman will be contributing regular columns and also be involved in the presentation of Pundit Arena’s video content. Mr Hook is feeling good about his new role – “I’m delighted to be joining the Pundit Arena Team. It’s an exciting and energetic company that’s growing every day. Their expansion over the last two years is indicative of the increasing importance of high quality sports content and I’m excited about my role in the coming years.”

Pundit Arena co-founder Richard Barrett is confident that the newest Pundit Arena recruit is a great one – “We are overjoyed to announce the arrival of George Hook to the Pundit Arena Team. One of the biggest names in independent sports media in Ireland, George’s talent transcends rugby. George epitomises the word pundit, and there’s no better fit for him than Pundit Arena HQ.
“For years, George has been the leading voice for rugby content in Ireland, and to officially add him to the team is a great feeling. His experience in all content formats is one of the main benefits that we feel he will bring to Pundit Arena and we are excited about marrying the traditional with new-age media.
“George will provide content in a number of formats, including written and video. We will also be releasing news of a unique video series next month and one which we feel will become a cornerstone of Irish sports content.”
An appointment of Hook’s calibre is a sign of things to come for Pundit Arena and co-founder Ross O’Dwyer says the skys the limit.
“Our big initiative for Pundit Arena at the moment is the importance of implementing 360-degree publishing. George’s ability to have an input in articles, video series, podcasts and other forms of media, such as live-streaming, will be incredibly important as we look to further scale our audience across the media landscape throughout Europe.”
Pundit Arena boasts the biggest online following of rugby fans on Facebook, reaching over 600,000 fans through the combination of Pundit Arena Rugby, Pundit Arena Rugby UK and Irish Rugby by Pundit Arena.
