Scarlets full-back Leigh Halfpenny has been ruled out of their Guinness Pro14 semi-final clash with Glasgow on Saturday due to injury.
The Lions full-back will now be definitively unavailable as his side look to book their place in the Guinness Pro14 final with a win over Glasgow Warriors next Saturday.
The 29-year-old, who has made eight appearances for Scarlets since joining from Toulon, has reportedly torn his hamstring (via BBC Sport) and as a result, will likely be replaced by back-up Johnny McNicholl.
Not much else is known about the Welshman’s injury at this point but Glasgow fans will no doubt be happy to hear of this latest depletion from the Scarlets lineup as Saturday edges closer.
