Watch: BT Sport Inspired Manu Tuilagi By Using A Picture Of Chris Ashton

Not many will forget Manu Tuilagi’s run-in with Chris Ashton in 2011, where the pair met in a skirmish, before the giant centre laid the now-Toulon winger flat out on the ground with a monstrous hit.

During the 2011 Premiership semi-final between Leicester Tigers and Northampton Saints, the England internationals clashed after a late tackle on Ashton. Punches were thrown, with Ashton certainly coming off the worse.

If you need reminding, feel free to take a look…

Since then, the duo have reconciled, and Tuilagi publicly detailed how they made up.

“I rang him up and we went to the cinema and for a meal. We had a night out together. We watched Transformers… Romantic.” Quote via The Daily Mail.

This evening, Tuilagi was on BT Sport’s Rugby Tonight show, and took part in their ‘Hardest Hits’ challenge. Just to encourage the Leicester Tigers star even more, they stuck a picture of Ashton on the punching bag.

To his credit, Tuilagi gave it a fair old whack!

It’s was all in good nature, as everyone in attendance shared a laugh over the affair.
