Student’s Adidas Advert Is Up There With Greatest Commercials Of All Time

A 26-year-old German student produced the following advert as part of his studies and it has since taken the internet by storm.

Eugen Merher is currently completing his studies at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in Germany and, recently speaking to the Huffington Post, he explained how he had sent his latest piece to Adidas to no avail.

“We tried sending it to [Adidas’] communications department but they didn’t really react,” Merher told The Huffington Post.

The commercial itself centres on a former professional runner who is now locked up in a retirement home and seems entirely miserable with his day to day life.

Determined to break out of the facility which is holding him, the old man makes daily attempts to break free and run again, only to be captured by the nursing staff.

However, things finally take a positive turn for the old man with the young heart in one of the most uplifting commercial moments we’ve ever seen.
