Dana White Sternly Responds To Reports That McGregor/Mayweather Venue Is Booked

Over the weekend, several reports claimed that Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather had agreed on a date and that the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas was booked for the 10th of June.

The reports did seem rather suspect to begin with given the fact that Conor McGregor isn’t expecting the birth of his first child until the end of April. As such, it would seem quite rushed for the Irishman to complete an entire fight camp and take on Mayweather less than two months after that point in time.

Although neither McGregor or Mayweather has as of yet spoken out to confirm of deny the reports, UFC President Dana White has claimed that the story is completely false.

Reached out to by TMZ Sports, White stated that the fight is not only “nowhere near being done,” he has also stated that, at this point in time, “there is no target date whatsoever.”

Irish boxer Mick Conlan told LA Times journalist Lance Pugmire that Conor McGregor had recently told him that the fight would take place in September – which certainly seems like a more realistic date. However, for the meantime, the speculation trundles on with no real indication if it will ever turn into a legitimate fight announcement or not.
