After months and months of build-up, Michael Bisping and Georges St-Pierre finally faced off in the Octagon at UFC 217 on Saturday night.
The main event certainly didn’t disappoint with St-Pierre eventually securing the victory in the third round after an electric encounter.
Both fighters were completely bloodied when the bout was stopped and, speaking in their post-fight interviews, GSP and Bisping lauded one another for their characters and performances inside the cage.
However, perhaps the most interesting moment came during Bisping’s discussion with Joe Rogan as the former middleweight champion clarified his plans for the future.
The Englishman had stated prior to UFC 217 that the New York event may well have been his last fight. However, speaking after his submission loss to GSP, the 38-year-old unequivocally stated that he would be back and he felt that Georges was simply the better man on the night.
