UFC 220 is going to be historic…
After what was initially a poor year for the UFC, the MMA promotion has now put on two back to back barnstormers in the form of UFC 217 and UFC 218.
Madison Square Garden’s UFC 217 has been referred to as the promotion’s greatest ever show while Detroit’s UFC 218 staged what many believed to have been the round of the year, the fight of the year and the knockout of the year.
UFC 219 is, unfortunately, looking like a disappointing line-up after Dana White and the company’s top brass were unable to find a blockbuster main event for the end of year card. However, it looks like the promotion is looking to start the new year with a bang with two massive title fights already booked to top the billing at UFC 220.
Dana White likes the idea of doing Stipe Miocic vs. Francis NGannou on the same card as Daniel Cormier vs. Volkan Oezdemir. UFC 220 in Boston.

Earlier this week, reports began to circulate claiming that the UFC was planning on adding Francis Ngannou vs Stipe Miocic to the Boston card that already had Daniel Cormier vs Volkan Oezdemir booked for the event.
The reports initially seemed tentative but in the early hours of Thursday morning, the news was confirmed and now, Mike Bohn has pointed out that UFC 220 will be the first event to stage undisputed heavyweight and light heavyweight title fights since UFC 44.
Book your trips to Boston. UFC 220 gets the first undisputed UFC heavyweight/light heavyweight title doubleheader since UFC 44 in September 2003. https://t.co/Cvor02mhIY

UFC 220: Miocic vs. Ngannou and Cormier vs. Oezdemir. Wow. The UFC has been hitting it out of the ballpark with their PPVs.
