UFC heavyweight Adam Wieczorek managed to achieve the second-ever finish by omoplata at last night’s UFC Glendale against Arjan Bhullar.
If you’re going to get the job done you may as well do it in style!
UFC Glendale was a success on many levels, all things considered, and even as far down as the event’s opening bouts we found ourselves with a little slice of history being made to enjoy.
UFC heavyweight Adam Wieczorek managed to pull off a submission rarely even attempted in the UFC when he caught his opponent Arjan Bhullar in an omoplata in the second-round of their contest on the night’s prelims.
Ben Saunders was the only man to ever pull one off in UFC history for quite some time after he submitted Chris Heatherly with the same technique back in 2014 but now he is joined by Wieczorek in a club that may not find itself with another new member any time soon.

Following his debut win over Anthony Hamilton, Wieczorek moves to 2-0 in the UFC and with a Performance of the Night bonus under his belt, expect a step up in competition for the Polish fighter in his next outing.
