Max Holloway Tips The Scales At 144.5lbs Ahead Of UFC 231 Headliner

Max Holloway came in a half a pound under the championship limit ahead of his UFC 231 headlining showdown with Brian Ortega tomorrow night.

And there were some understandable fears about his ability to make weight following his cancelled fight at UFC 226 in July where he seemed visibly unwell during fight-week.

And while we still don’t know for certain what was up with ‘Blessed’ during that time, there was quite a lot of concern surrounding his health in the months that followed.

Thankfully, for today’s official UFC 231 weigh-ins he came in at a comfortable 144.5lbs.

Holloway is one of the most talented young fighters of his generation and with an opponent of Brian Ortega’s calibre in front of him, fans are expecting a stylistic clash for the ages.

We have ourselves a fight, ladies and gentlemen!
