Thomas And Woods Chase Koepka On Major Sunday

The final major round of 2018 is underway at Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis, Missouri.

U.S. Open champion Brooks Koepka held the overnight lead by two shots over Adam Scott, who despite his class has failed to post a top five finish in two years.

Koepka birdied the first hole to go to -13 where he remains, but wayward drives on holes two and four will give hope to the chasing pack.

And what a chasing pack it is.

With two rounds of 66 on Friday and Saturday, Tiger Woods is contending at a 2018 major yet again.

After his great showing at the Open, Woods has made two early birdies, with his tee shot on the par three third leaving a gimme to go to -10 and second place at the time.

Fine par saves on four and five after dodgy driving have kept his momentum going.

He now trailsĀ defending champion Justin Thomas in second, who has birdied the first, fifth and seventh holes in style to stay within just two shots of the lead.

Thomas’ playing partner is Irishman Shane Lowry.

Though Lowry birdied the first hole with a 19 footer, a bogey on the fifth after his approach went into the greenside bunker put him back at -8 for the tournament.
