TG4’s Line-Up For This Weekend’s Hurling Action Is Simply Mouth-Watering

With the Allianz National Hurling League Division 1 quarter-finals and relegation play-offs in store this weekend, there is a feast of small ball action in store.

Kilkenny and Tipperary travel to Offaly and Dublin respectively, and the two traditional powerhouses will be expected to make their way into the semi-finals unscathed.

Meanwhile, Galway and Wexford face off for the first time since last summer’s Leinster final, and Munster rivals Limerick and Clare meet in the Gaelic Grounds. Both of these games will be broadcast live on TG4.

The Tribesmen’s trip to Wexford Park is first up, with throw-in at 14:00. Wexford’s three wins in Division 1A will give them hope that they can overturn the reigning champions at home, while Mícheál Donoghue’s charges will be eager to get a high profile win under the belt following the home loss to Limerick.

This is followed by the meeting of the Banner and the Treaty counties at 16:00. Buoyed by winning promotion, John Kiely’s team will be eager to make another statement this springtime, when they entertain their provincial neighbours.

After those two live games, the Irish language broadcaster will turn to deferred coverage from Páirc Uí Rinn, as Cork and Waterford battle it out to preserve their Division 1A status in the relegation play-off.

Three full games of hurling are hitting our screens on Sunday. Another cracking day in store, courtesy of TG4!
