The National Football League had its fifth round of matches this weekend, with the promotion and relegation races becoming clearer.

Reigning champions Dublin maintained their undefeated start, earning a draw last night in Tralee.

The Dubs are joined at the top of the table by Tyrone and Donegal. Without semi-finals this year, the League’s two final rounds of group games are sure to be tense.

Cavan stopped the rot with a win away to Mayo, as the Breffni County hold out real hope of Division 1 survival.

Kildare maintained their promotion push, while Meath staged a remarkable comeback to earn a draw with Cork in Páirc Uí Rinn.

Fermanagh’s home win over Clare means that the Rebels are in a real fight to survive in Division 2.

Tipperary overturned a deficit against Offaly, while Armagh scored a big win over Louth in the push for promotion.
