Croke Park will host a round 4B All-Ireland qualifier double header on Saturday, July 29th.
The all-Ulster clash of Down and Monaghan will throw in at 5 p.m and is to be preceded by the meeting of Armagh and Kildare at 7 p.m.
Both games will also be broadcast live on Sky Sports on a busy evening for Gaelic football.
Down will be looking to rebound from their heavy defeat to Tyrone in Sunday’s Ulster final.
Monaghan will be seeking to build some much needed momentum ahead of the All-Ireland series. Conor McManus and co. narrowly escaped a shock loss to Carlow this weekend. They will also be attempting to exact revenge on Down for dumping them out of the Ulster championship earlier this summer.
In the second part of the exciting double header is a meeting of Kieran McGeeney’s current side and his former side.
Now at the helm of his native county Armagh, Geezer is aiming to bring the Orchards to the glory of his playing days in 2002. Having scraped past Tipperary, and given Kildare’s valiant effort in their Leinster final shortcoming to Dublin, the men from the north will need to improve on their display if they are to advance from this Croker showdown.
