A rampant Liverpool side cruised to a 4-0 win over Arsenal at Anfield on Sunday afternoon as the Gunners showed us all just how much trouble they’re really in.
Arsene Wenger’s charges, almost to a man, put in fairly listless performances on Merseyside and the heavy defeat was no less than they deserved.
Supporters were left fuming at yet another embarrassing display in a big game and calls for wholesale changes at the club will no doubt be even louder this evening.
It wasn’t just fans that were left fuming by the visitors either. Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville was commentating on the game for Sky Sports and absolutely hammered the Arsenal players. Mesut Ozil, in particular, was the target of extensive criticism from the 42-year-old.

The utter disgust from Gary Neville towards several Arsenal players today seems so genuine. He's fuming.

Best moment of the #LFCvsAFC game, Gary Neville muttering that Ozil is a joke for throwing his arms in the air at his team mates ???

"Watching Ozil and Ramsey defend, it really is pathetic" – Wish Gary Neville would stop sitting on the fence..

As was mentioned by Neville, the club still have a couple of days left in the transfer market to ship out some deadwood and recruit some genuine quality and, more importantly, steel.
Wenger’s side face Bournemouth in the first game after the international break where anything other than a win at the Emirates would represent a truly disastrous start to the campaign, even by their dismal standards.
