We’re only midway through June but this summer’s biggest transfer saga has already, it seems, been found.
Anything involving Cristiano Ronaldo’s future is sure to court a huge amount of interest but add one of the world’s most illustrious football clubs into the mix and you have yourself one of the biggest – and most likely drawn out – stories of the summer.
Last year it was speculation around Paul Pogba’s return to Manchester United following a successful spell at Italian giants Juventus, now it appears as though Ronaldo could be the next one under the spotlight of United fans, after Sky Sports on Sunday confirmed the four-time Ballon d’Or winner is ‘interested in the possibility of returning’ to United.

While this far from confirms anything regarding a potential Premier League return, it will have tongues wagging in the north-west.
Scoring 42 goals in 46 games for the Champions League winners this term, Ronaldo is proving that age is but a number and he still has plenty to offer at the top table of European football.
A switch to PSG, the MLS or China have all been mentioned since it emerged the Portuguese superstar is unsettled in the Spanish capital but there is no other club where Ronaldo would be worshipped on his return like a king than United.
Between 2003 and 2009 the 32-year-old earned legendary status at Old Trafford netting 118 goals in 291 appearances for the Red Devils.
