Irish defender Greg Cunningham is set for a move to Premier League newcomers Cardiff City according to reports.
The Lancashire Post are reporting that the Preston defender has undergone a medical and agreed personal terms with Cardiff ahead of the proposed four million pound move.
The 27-year-old was given permission by North End to speak with the Bluebirds on Tuesday after a fee was agreed.
Cunningham had been linked with a move to Wales in August last year but the two million pound offer was turned down by the Deepdale club.
The Irish international has made 111 appearances for Preston and has been impressing many in the Championship with his strong performances at left-back
Cunningham has a year to run on his contract at Deepdale and is keen to accept the chance of playing Premier League football.
The move may also help Cunningham’s international career as he looks to build upon the four caps he has already won with the Boys in Green.
