Unai Emery’s first pre-season in charge of Arsenal will include a friendly with Chelsea at the Aviva Stadium in August.
The Premier League pair will clash in the International Champions Cup on Wednesday, August 1st at 8:05 pm.
This is the second announced pre-season friendly that the Aviva will play host to, with Liverpool and Napoli meeting at the same venue three days later.
The game takes place just a week before the start of the Premier League season and both sides will be looking for a strong summer as they come off the back of disappointing campaigns.
Despite an FA Cup success, Chelsea failed to regain their Premier League title and missed out on Champions League football finishing the season in 5th, while Arsenal finished a spot below their London rivals, in what was Arsene Wenger’s last campaign in charge of the club.
The announcement was made at a press conference in Dublin today.
