James McClean will face an internal disciplinary proceeding at West Brom after failing to report for training camp without permission.

A report on the club’s website says that McClean failed to appear for training at St Andrew’s University, where the club will be based for a four-day training camp until Thursday.

The Baggies’ head coach Darren Moore gave four players permission to stay behind and continue work at the Club’s Palm Training Ground, but McClean was not on that list.

McClean is not the first player who has failed to attend preseason activities for the Baggies this season, with Ben Foster and Craig Dawson both failing to go on a preseason training camp to Portugal.

While absent from training, McClean was seen watching his brother Patrick’s team Sligo Rovers lose 2-1 to Bray Wanderers at the Carlisle Grounds on Sunday.
