Watch: Asensio’s Cunning Free-Kick Secures Point For Real Madrid

Marco Asensio again shone at the Bernabeu scoring a late free-kick as well as a superb individual goal to secure a point for Real Madrid as they came from behind to draw 2-2 with Valencia on Sunday.

Asensio had put Zinedine Zidane’s side 1-0 up after just ten minutes with an exquisite finish, dancing between defenders before finding the bottom corner, but Real Madrid were pegged back by goals from Carlos Soler and Geoffrey Kondogbia as Valencia took a 2-1 lead with less than 15 minutes remaining.

The Spanish champions were rewarded a free-kick in the 83rd minute and in the absence of usual free-kick taker Cristiano Ronaldo the 21-year-old demonstrated maturity beyond his years as he filled Ronaldo’s boots with ease curling the ball into the far corner around the wall to secure Madrid a share of the spoils.

The youngster was sensational against Los Murciélagos – with his two goals further demonstrating his potential. Asensio will be the name on everybody’s lips in the coming years as he continues to shine week in, week out.
