Harry Kane has scored one of the best goals of his career as Tottenham grabbed a vital 3-1 win over Borussia Dortmund at Wembley tonight.
Having succumbed to their Wembley woes in last season’s Champions League – Spurs achieved a massive psychological boost from tonight’s victory, which can largely be attributed to the efforts of Kane.
Having scored his first club goals of the season against Everton at the weekend – the England striker seems to be hitting form at just the right time – further exemplified by another brace against the German side.
Kane’s first goal was a thing of beauty, as he chased down the ball and battled his way into the box before firing an unstoppable effort past Roman Buerki.
He could very well have had a hat-trick on the night after he added his second, but two goals and an assist on European football’s biggest stage is testament to the ever-growing ability of Tottenham’s star striker.
Kane’s world class talent is really symbolised by his first goal this evening, and we’re certain it won’t be the last time we see his name on the scoresheet this season.
Tottenham have done their chances of qualification to the knockouts absolutely no harm – and with this man leading the line, the London club could go far if this form continues.
Incidentally, Dortmund’s only goal of the night, from new signing Andriy Yarmolenko, was a bit special too…
