Well, this was a bit messy…
On Sunday evening, Barcelona took on Eibar with a very slim chance of winning La Liga. In order to so, they needed to take all three points from the fixture and hope that Malaga pulled off a shock victory against Real Madrid.
As it happened, the opening 45 minutes couldn’t have gone much worse for Barcelona as Real took the lead at La Rosaleda while the Catalans found themselves behind at home.
The game was full of twists and turns as Barca eventually pulled themselves back two goal deficit to win the game 4-2 (with some suspect decisions being made along the way).
However, one moment has gone relatively unnoticed as Lionel Messi had one of the worst misses of his career in the bizarre fixture.
With Luis Suarez through on goal, the former Liverpool man elected to square the ball to Messi for a tap in. However, rather than roll the ball into the goal, Messi took a touch and then… well, just watch.
