West Ham fans were in a rage on Sunday evening after another loss sees them sitting in 18th position in the Premier League table with just nine points from 12 fixtures.
Having recently sacked Slaven Bilic and appointed David Moyes, fans were cautiously optimistic that an uplift in form may have arrived vs Watford. However, a two-nil loss followed and, after the final whistle, Moyes sent fans into further fits of rage by stating that ‘most people would’ve expected something like that’.
Moyes has a tendency to say the worst possible things in post-match interviews and, having just been appointed West Ham boss, it seems that isn’t a habit he intends to shake off anytime soon.
Sky: what did you make of that then, David?
Moyes: well… i think it was exactly what was to be expected..

However, Moyes did go on to lament some huge chances that the Hammers had spurned during the 90 minutes with one truly incredible moment arriving just before halftime.
With Marko Arnautovic arriving onto a pinpoint cross from Pablo Zabaleta, Watford keeper Huerelho Gomes pulled off one of the greatest double saves that you are ever likely to see.
The first headed effort took a deflection that Gomes somehow managed to instinctively stop (despite the change in direction) while the Brazilian then went on to miraculously stop a dinked follow up effort from the Austrian.
