Roy Keane is certainly a hard man to please…
With Manchester United struggling in extra time against Anderlecht in their Europa League quarter final tie, Marcus Rashford popped up with an excellent individual effort to send Mourinho’s side into the semis.
Picking up the ball in the box, Rashford turned two defenders brilliantly before drilling a fine effort into the bottom corner.
However, despite scoring for United in their last two games, Keane was very critical of Rashford after the game stating that the youngster had missed so many chances that, had he not scored, players would have been ‘waiting for him in the dressing room’.
“I think we have seen the best and worst of United tonight. Creating lots of chances. But, my goodness the finishing was so poor it was unbelievable.”
“It was just as well Rashford had scored the winner, because you’d be waiting for him in the dressing room and I think it summed up their season to miss that many chances.”
