To be thrust into your first Champions League game at the age of 18 having just joined a new club, Mile Svilar certainly had a European baptism of fire on Wednesday night.

The goal came when the former Anderlecht star misjudged a Marcus Rashford free-kick which swung in underneath the crossbar. With a few more years experience the goalkeeper would have punched the ball over and saved his blushes, but unfortunately the youngster decided to catch the ball and inadvertently stepped behind his goal line.
Following the game, full Belgium international Romelu Lukaku comforted the Belgium under-19 man in a display of sportsmanship very rarely seen in the game.
