Real Madrid’s Ronaldo Earned An Astonishing Amount Of Money Last Year

Cristiano Ronaldo is the world’s highest paid sportsperson, according to Forbes.

Ronaldo reportedly earned $88 million last year, with $55 million of that coming from wages and the remainder being provided by sponsorship deals.

Ronaldo is the fourth highest earning celebrity on the entire planet and is joined by Lionel Messi as the only two sportspeople in the top ten.

Messi himself earned a not too shabby $81.5 million, $1 million more than British singer Adele.

Other sportsmen on the list include basketball player Lebron James in eleventh place and Roger Federer in 16th.

The next highest earning footballers are Manchester United’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Lionel Messi’s teammate Neymar, who ranks 72nd on the list.
