The rise and rise of Stephen Ward goes on, as the Ireland international fullback continues to excel for Burnley.
The Clarets, stacked with Ireland internationals under Sean Dyche, are playing Premier League champions Chelsea, and have started superbly, going into a 3-0 lead against the Pensioners.
The second of their goals came from Ward, who stole in on the left and fired a half-volley into the Chelsea net.

Ward, who used to play as a striker for Bohemians, showed exactly how dangerous he can be with a sight of goal.
With Ireland facing into four crucial World Cup qualifiers in the next two months against Georgia, Serbia, Moldova and Wales, Martin O’Neill will be hoping that Ward can recreate moments of magic like this in the green of Ireland as Group D reaches its conclusion.
